Improving birth outcomes for birthing persons, babies and families by offering doula services and yoga to underserved, underrepresented and ignored communities. AOP’s primary focus is BiPOC, LGBTQ+ Non-binary, low-income individuals and Teen parents. Our goal is to also decrease the Black birthing person mortality rate and increase breast feeding/chest feeding in Black communities.
Hi, I’m Shanea, a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula in Indianapolis.
In March 2020 my granddaughter Dani was stillborn at 23 weeks. I supported my daughter through a heartbreaking delivery, and I continue to support her as her postpartum doula today. I knew I never wanted anyone to have to go through losing their child alone and unsupported.
